I did my first The Blogger Made Me Buy It post in December last year and now I am on my fourth one. It seems you all love to read these posts so why not keep doing them? It isn’t often I jump at hyped up products unless I know I have wanted it for months and months. These are the latest products I have purchased that bloggers made me buy. If I wasn’t a blogger and read other blogs I wouldn’t have half the makeup I own.
Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette | £10.00 | Link
This has to be one of the most hyped about products of 2016. I was late to the party with buying this one as I thought it was over hyped. I have fallen in love with this palette. It is in my top 3 favourite highlighters. The shades scared me a little but once on the face they are not as dark as they are in the pan. They are extremely pigmented. I have a full review here with swatches. I love how the palette has 3 powder shades and only 1 cream as I am not the biggest fan of cream highlight.
Worth It? Hell Yes!
Benefit Matte Gel Rescue Primer | £21.50 | Link
I have been looking at this ever since it was released but something always put me off. I heard people saying they would apply it before a primer then a normal primer on top. I apply this after I moisturise but I only apply it in my T Zone then I apply my normal everyday type primer on top. This product is now one of my holy grails, I don’t know why I held off purchasing it! It keeps me matte longer 100%.
Worth It? Yes.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara | £7.99 | Link
I recently included this in my Top Four Mascara’s Post which shows a before and after of me wearing this mascara. The first time I used it I wasn’t impressed at all. Then I used it a few more times and I can see why people love it but I still don’t get why it is so hyped. It is good at adding length to my lashes for a natural look but if I want length and volume this isn’t the one. If you are after long natural looking lashes with no volume this is what you want. Check out my before and after picture here.
Worth It? Yes/No Depending What You Want
The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops | £10.00 | Link
I am pretty pale and find some foundations are too dark, too yellow or too orange on me. I finally gave in and got these drops. I was worried that blending this with my foundation it would stop my foundation working as good. The shades are pure white and they work perfectly. I add a small dot or a larger amount depending on which foundation I use and it really lightens the foundation. You don’t get a white cast at all so don’t let the shade put you off. The only thing I don’t like it the applicator unless it is just mine and it isn’t working properly. It is a squeeze and drop tip but mine doesn’t seem to pick up much product.
Worth It? Definitely.
Kat Von D Lock It Concealer | £20.00 | Link
As soon as Kat Von D Launched at Debenhams I knew I wanted this concealer and the Lock It Powder Foundation (The powder foundation is AMAZING). So far I cannot make my mind up on this concealer, I guess it isn’t like I thought it would be. The shade range is incredible and the coverage is full but for me it isn’t as creamy as I expected. If you love the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer you will love this, it has a drier texture compared to the Urban Decay or Maybelline Fit Me. I find it a little too drying. I am hoping to pick up the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer and IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer whilst I am in New York (I am there right now, it will be my 3rd day).
Worth It? Not for me
Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation | £27.00 | Link
This had been on my radar as soon as Urban Decay announced they were releasing it. I wasn’t sure what I would think as I read so many mixed reviews. It is full coverage, feels lightweight, looks flawless and lasts well. I have done a full review which includes swatches so you can see the shade etc… Read my Full Review Here.
Worth It? Yes!
