Updated Skincare Routine 2015 | EmmyWritesAbout

The last skincare post i did was in August 2014 and it is still one of my most popular posts. I have recently found a huge improvement in my skin and that is purely down to finding the right products for me. Having a skincare routine is something i have become to realise it is something i need to stick to and now i have found the right products i think i will end up sticking to it. I used to be the kind of girl that would just remove my makeup by using baby wipes and that was it!

My Skin Type

Before i begin i wanted to explain my skin type. I have very oily skin but i suffer with dry patches on my cheeks and it can become dehydrated. I only get breakouts on my skin area and find they can leave my skin blemished.

Moisturisers

I have included two moisturisers in this post because i find my skin gets so used to using one that it tends not to work well so i will switch to my other favourite for a month and then switch back. I find doing this really helps my skin keep fresh. Firstly i love my Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser which is oil free. I used this for quite a few months and found it helped keep my skin clear. Once my skin got too used to it i switched to the Nivea Oil Free Moisturising Day Cream and found this soon cleared my skin up amazingly. Both of these are my all time holy grails in skincare and i will always stick to these two.

Serum

If you read my blog you will know i am a big lover of the L’Oreal Advanced Correcting Serum but recently the Vichy Aqualia Serum stole my heart. With Summer coming up i have found my skin to become dry on my cheeks and just feel dull. When i was sent this product i didn’t expect to love it as much as i do. From first application this instantly made me skin feel fresh and alive. If you have dry or dehydrated skin then you need this in your life!

Night Cream

The newest product to my collection is the Tea Tree Blemish Solution Night Lotion. This stuff is a miracle in a bottle! I usually apply my normal moisturiser morning and night but not no more. I know apply my moisturiser in the morning and then this at night. It smells very strong of Tea Tree so if you don’t like the smell bear that in mind even though after a couple of minutes the scent does fade. Since using this i have noticed i have not had any breakouts and the blemished area’s/scarring are slowly fading! This product has saved my skin!

Face Mist/Setting Spray

I usually use my Urban Decay De Slick Setting Spray which i truly love. I recently ran out and decided to try a cheaper alternative. I picked up the Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist. This smells amazing! With the hotter weather i find this is perfect just to spritz on my face throughout the day to keep my skin feeling fresh. I have also recently picked up the Freedom Makeup Setting Spray which i use to set my makeup then keep The Body Shop one in my handbag for during the day.

Overall since using all of these products combined i have noticed a huge improvement in my skin. It looks alot more healthy, less blemishes and no breakouts! I can finally say i have found my perfect Skin Care Routine!
