After two months away from blogging I am finally back! I needed the few months away as I wasn’t enjoying it and life got hard. I had a major spending spree this month to treat myself. There were a few products on my wishlist but I also wanted a large spending spree before I start being strict and saving. Life has been stressful and not the best so of course I went on a spending spree and it did make me feel better. I needed new clothes for summer and there was some makeup on my wishlist.
I placed a little ColourPop order, as soon as I knew they were releasing a foundation I knew I had to have it. I was unsure what shade to get but they put a list of shades of other foundations which were similar and it was really helpful. I ended up ordering the No Filter Natural Matte Foundation, No Filter Pressed Powder and No Filter Loose Powder. I will be reviewing them fully and swatching soon! I did also pick up another Lux Lipstick in the shade Third Eye. These lipsticks apply super creamy then dry down matte. I absolutely love them. Lastly I got another lip liner, the ColourPop Lip Liners are some of the best I have tried!
Another product that was on my wishlist was the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Powder, I love the foundation and couldn’t wait to try the powder. It sold out straight away so I purchased it when they re stocked. The packaging is stunning, it has 3D water droplets all over the compact. I also had the Smashbox Limited Edition Scented Priming Water on my wishlist. I tweeted Smashbox to find out when they would be released in the UK and they finally got released on their website during July. There are three scents available and I chose the Coconut one.
I have always dreamed of owning a Tom Ford Lipstick but £40.00 is just so expensive! Luckily though I picked one up for £28.00 which I could justify. We went to Cheshire Oaks and they have a small beauty shop that sell MAC, Bobbi Brown, Smashbox, Tom Ford and more and all is slightly discounted or just on offer for a period of time. I chose the shade All Mine Lipstick which is a perfect everyday nude pink.
I did place a little Tarte order right at the beginning of the month and I am so excited. I ordered the new Creaseless Concealer. Now I know everybody raves about shape tape but I don’t know what it was but it dried out my under eyes even though I don’t have any dry area’s there. I am hoping I love this one! I will do a full review soon. Whilst on the website I noticed they had the Color Splash Hydrating Lipstick in the shade Skinny Dip (I have wanted this for so long!) in the sale for only £12 so I got me and my mum one.
The last beauty bits I picked up are all from the drugstore. I went to re purchase one of my favourite concealers, the Lottie London Got It Covered Concealer. I love how full coverage this is and it is very creamy! I also re purchased two other favourites including the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer. I have always loved these but they recently launched paler shades in both which work perfectly for me. I spotted this liquid eyeshadow from Barry M, It is the Crushed Jewel Liquid Eye Shadow in the shade Duvet Day. It looks stunning and such a beautiful shade. I also found this shimmery bronzer in Primark. Now I don’t do shimmery bronzers but recently I have loved using them as a topper on my matte bronzer to add a slight glow. This one has a gorgeous subtle bronze/gold tint.
Shoes have been my weakness the past few months. I was in newlook and picked up these black suedette gladiator sandals with a small block heel. They were a bargain at £22.99 and super comfy! I struggle wearing heels since my reconstruction surgery but these have a small block heel which makes them comfortable.
When I was in Sainburys a few weeks ago I saw these sparkly rose gold/pink trainers and loved them but didn’t get them. You know when you see something, don’t buy it but think about it constantly? Yeah that was me with these trainers. They look so cute with jeans!
How cute is this top?! Now I know it isn’t to everyone’s taste but I thought it was adorable. Although it was a nightmare, as I ordered it from Missguided and then got an email saying Yodel were delivering it. Yodel are shocking in my area and again nothing changed. My parcel went missing, they said it was delivered to a safe place and a card was left… nope, none, nothing. I was fuming, Yodel wouldn’t reply to me, Missguided wouldn’t do much and I was arguing for days. After 5 days Yodel said they will open an investigation with the driver. The next morning my mum opened the front door at 6am and what a surprise, my parcel was sitting on the doorstep!! Yodel you are ****!!!
I was shopping in Matalan and saw this cute floral blouse, to be honest the picture doesn’t do it justice. I picked this up for work, it looks adorable tucked into trousers or a high waisted skirt.
How pretty are these! I got these floral wide leg trousers from Newlook. I saw them around a month ago and regretted not picking them up. We went shopping to a different Newlook store not long after and I found them in the sale for £10! They are extremely lightweight and comfy.
