My Most Used Highlighters Includes Swatches | EmmyWritesAbout

Shine so they can see you from the moon right? Every time I wear makeup I always wear highlighter. Even if I wear the most natural makeup I pop some highlighter on just to add that little sparkle. I own quite a few highlighters but there are some I use way more than others. I find you can get just as good highlighters in the drugstore as you can in the highend so I have some in this post for every budget.

ColourPop Highlighter Smoke N Whistles | $8.00 | Link

Seriously out of all of these this one you need in your life! ColourPop highlighters are the most intense I have tried. They are a cream/powder and when you apply them they have that wet intense look. I use the Real Techniques Setting Brush with this and it is a dream team. ColourPop have a huge range of shades and in the listing of each they show you it swatched on different skin tones.

Becca Champagne Pop | £32.00 | Link (For full size of Champagne Pop)

I own the Champagne Split in Flowerchild which comes with a blush and the highlighter. In my swatch this looks quite dark and peachy on my pale skin but when I apply it to my face it isn’t as dark. I find if I use a light hand you still get amazing colour payoff but so it suits my skin tone.

The Champagne Splits are no longer available in the UK, I got mine whilst in NYC but you can buy the Champagne Pop on it’s own.

Urban Decay After Glow Highlighters Aura & Sin | £19 Each | Link

Oh Hello You Beauties! These two highlighters are insanely good. They are slightly holographic which looks amazing when the sun catches them. Aura is perfect for us pale girls and Sin also works on my pale skin but would suit medium to dark skin tones too.

Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette | £9.99 | Link

This palette is incredible and £10 for four shades is even better. It contains one cream highlighter and three powders. All of the shades work on my pale skin. I thought the lilac one wouldn’t work but it doesn’t show up lilac on my face it looks very similar to the Urban Decay Aura!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit “That Glow” | £39.00 | Link

I won this in a giveaway last September and I am so happy with it. At first I thought the shades looked dark but I use three out of the four shades and the darkest one I use as an eyeshadow. The look gorgeous. The glow kits are definitely worth the money.
