Bloggers Day Out With TheDenaEdit | EmmyWritesAbout

A few weeks ago I not only meet my first blogger but it was also my closet blogging friend TheDenaEdit. I think we have been talking around 18 months-2 years and we literally speak pretty much everyday. Dena is someone I am so glad we became friends, we talk about everything from blogging to boys to chit chat. We finally met up in Blackpool where we went for food and of course did some shopping.

My partner Ashley made me laugh as a few weeks before he said “are you sure she isn’t a catfish” hahahaha. I can confirm she isn’t a catfish! *crying*. We both got the train and then went to Prezzo for some food. Neither of us had been before and it was lovely. What made me laugh was Dena saying how good would the flooring look as a blogging background! It actually would of been perfect but I think people may of looked at us funny if we put our food on the floor to take a photo!

I had mozzarella in breadcrumbs which was delicious, I could of eaten more! Then I had pizza, I am really fussy when it comes to pizza but this base was so yummy. Of course we had a cocktail! After we had done some shopping we went onto the front and got ice cream. The weather ended up being so sunny and warm!

Of course we went to Primark, the one is Blackpool is pretty big. Alot bigger than my local one. I picked up clothes as well as makeup. I haven’t really tried Primark makeup and didn’t have high hopes but I picked up two of the My Perfect Nude Glosses which were only £1 each, See my full review and swatches of the glosses here. Then I got this Peachy Eyeshadow Palette which was £2.50 but it has surprised me massively! The shades are extremely pigmented and the colours last all day on my eyes.

I also stocked up on the eyelashes which are a £1 each. These are the lashes which I wear day to day for work as they are simple but look gorgeous on!

Swatches of the Primark Peachy Palette | £2.50

Primark had some gorgeous Autumn pieces in. I picked up this stunning Tartan A Line Skirt which will look perfect with chunky boots and tights. I also picked up this Unicorn Dressing Gown which I saw online. I thought the hood was super cute! I always get a dressing gown in a bigger size so it is cosy. This feels extremely soft! It was £16 which I thought was a little pricey for Primark but the quality of this is incredible.

Makeup Time

I only picked up a few bits as I was trying to be good before Payday.

Wilkinsons

Essence has become a brand I love. I showed Dena some of my favourite items and I hope she loves them as much as I do.

Essence Camo Full Coverage Concealer | £2.50 | Link

This is my second one of this concealer, I have become obsessed! The shade is perfect, it is super creamy and has good coverage for my dark under eye circles.

Essence Satin Touch Blush | £1.00 | Link

I think I own around 5 or 6 Essence blushes. They are incredible for the price. Blusher isn’t something I tend to splurge on as I find the drugstore has amazing ones. These ones from Essence look gorgeous on the skin. They do the Satin Touch ones and also Matte Ones. They don’t have many shades online but they have alot more in Wilkos in store.

Kiss Light Reflecting Primer | £3.00 | Link

I have got Dena hooked on this primer! I think I have been using it for around a year now and always make sure I have a backup one ready. If you want a primer that blurs pores and keeps you shine free all day you need this in your life! My skin is Combination and this primer works magic!

Boots

Natural Collection Bronze & Glow | £2.49 | Link

When looking in Boots I noticed Natural Collection have completely re vamped all of their packaging and included a few new items including this stunning bronze and glow. Since buying it I prefer mixing the two shades together to get a healthy luminous glow. It looks gorgeous on my pale skin. They also do blusher versions which I am going to pick up!

Benefit Hoola Contour Stick | £23.50 | Link

This has been on my wishlist for so long! I really love cream contouring and I am so glad I picked this up. The girl on the counter said how easy it is to blend and she wasn’t joking, it literally melts and blends like butter! The shade is perfect too, not warm, not cool just perfect.

Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Powder Highlighter | £24.50 | Link

I have been intrigued by this but never looked at it in store. Dena picked one up to buy and when I saw how stunning it looked I had to get one too. Now if you only like an intense glow this isn’t for you. It doesn’t have any shimmer, it gives more of a luminous glow. I wasn’t sure if I would like it as I do like a intense glow but I am really loving it, especially on those no makeup days just to add a little something. I have a review and swatches of it on my face coming soon!

As I purchased two Benefit products I got a free Watts Up Highlighter, This is a stunning cream highlight. It looks lovely on pale skin.

Lastly I picked up some bath bombs. I didn’t realise they were Bomb Cosmetics Bath Bombs, I adore their products and much prefer them over Lush ones. They were £2.50 each I think. How cute is the Unicorn one!!

I had such a fun day and it was lovely to meet Dena! We are planning on meeting up again and going to the Christmas Markets.
