My Current Favourites | EmmyWritesAbout

Over the past few months I have found some products that have become firm favourites and I haven’t been able to stop using them. I go through phases of not finding new products that wow me then all of a sudden I find so many in one go. I have some beauty and fashion items I have been using long enough to call them favourites.

ASOS Yellow Long Woven Scarf | £15.00 | Link

I usually go for a nude or red scarf in Winter but I wanted something different. As soon as I saw this yellow scarf on ASOS I ordered it straight away. It is gorgeous and so soft and comfy. It is the perfect size and definitely keeps me warm.

Thierry Mugler Alien Perfume | £39 (30ml) | Link

This isn’t a new product, It is a perfume I am obsessed with and have been using it for many years. I don’t tend to use it in the Summer but every Winter I pull it back out. The scent is just perfection. In Summer I prefer a more floral/fruity scent and this is the complete opposite. Honestly if you have never tried it go and spray it!

Primark Black Loafers | £12.00 | Link

I purchased these in both black and grey! The main reason I got them is because they have rubbery grips on the bottom perfect for when it is icey outside. With my issues with my leg I get so nervous walking and need something comfortable but with a grip. These shoes are so comfy!

Tarte Pro Glow | $23.00 | Link

Another purchase from my Sephora Haul. This I have not put down since getting it. The highlighters are especially stunning. The powders are so soft and the glide onto your skin perfectly and look so smooth. They are such intense highlighters. The top one is a champagne and the middle is a pale gold. The contour shade is more of a bronzer on me but it still works well.

Lottie London Blush “Drake” | £4.95 | Link

Now this is so well loved the lid has broken off it! I use this brush almost every single day and have been for two months solid. I always get compliments of how it looks on my pale skin. It is a muted dusty pink with a slight sheen. I recommend these blushers so much, I have a couple of the shades and need more.

Essence I Love Colour Intensifying Eyeshadow Base | £2.50 | Link

I picked this up on a whim around 3 months ago now and oh my I have been on the search for an eyeshadow primer that actually worked and I have found it! This primer is beyond a miracle in a bottle. It is a pale pink colour that covers any blemishes, veins or any dis-colouration on your eyes. It creates the perfect base but it also makes my eye shadow last all day. Most days for work I just use a bronzer as a quick eyeshadow so don’t use a primer but on weekends I use this all the time. I have never found a primer that works this good.

Sephora Liquid Lipstick Nude Blush | $14.00 | Link

Now when I went to New York last November I picked up some Sephora own brand products but not the lipsticks. I recently did a Sephora Haul and finally picked up some lipsticks. I am very fussy when it comes to liquid lipstick as I find most brands far too drying but this formula is lovely. It is creamy, dries matte quickly but doesn’t dry extremely matte it still has a slightly tackiness to it.

Lush Tea Tree Toner Water | £9.50 | Link

Over the past year my skin has become alot more breakout prone especially on my chin due to stress and hormones. I picked this up when I was shopping a few months ago and I have become obsessed. I usually spray it all over my face after I have had a bath or before I go to bed. It is very lightweight, adds hydration but sinks in and dries quickly. Since using this I have noticed my blemishes have reduced and my breakouts go away quicker.

Rimmel Lip Art #10 | £5.49 | Link

I was in Superdrug and saw these and hadn’t heard anything or seen anything about them. I swatched a couple and oh my, my heart stopped a beat. They look stunning! I picked up this shade which has the unicorn colouring. It is sheer with a hint of colour and shimmer. It has the tints of blues, lilacs and silver. Honestly apply this on top of a lipstick and your lips will look incredible. I always picked up a gold shade they do which looks gorgeous on top of a nude lipstick.

Sephora Green Tea Sleeping Mask | $4.00 | Link

When I went to New York last year I picked up around four of these and have been wishing I got more so when I recently placed a Sephora order I made sure to stock up on these. The pot might look small but I get 3 full face mask uses out of this! It is a gel which has a cooling affect that you leave to sink into your skin overnight. My skin always looks healthier, clearer and much brighter after using this. There are 8 different types of this mask. The Green Tea one is aimed to mattifying and reduce blemishes.

Benefit Hoola Quickie Contour Stick | £23.50 | Link

I recently did a full review of this where you can see a swatch. This is my favourite cream contour product. I have tried quite a few contour sticks but nothing compares to this. It is extremely creamy and blends like a dream.
