Spring Makeup Favourites | EmmyWritesAbout

Spring is my favourite season for makeup. The weather starts getting warmer and brighter and so does your makeup. Summer makeup is pretty to but it gets too hot my makeup just melts. I have a tall five drawer tower which holds most of my makeup so this past week i have been shopping my stash for my favourite Spring pieces. One of my go to products for Spring is pink blush, i love how it brightens up my skin and looks healthy.

L’Oreal Skin Perfection Correcting Serum | £16.99

I have to admit i have never been a big believer of using serums until i came across this in Boots last Summer and thought i would give it a try. Nearly a year on and im still using it and wouldn’t try anything else. This serum is amazeballs! I wash my face as normal and then moisturize then i apply this. I use a pump and a half and that covers my whole face. It definitely wakes my skin up and has a cooling sensation whilst it sinks into my skin. The end result my skin has a gorgeous glow. After using this nearly everyday i have noticed a big difference in how healthy my skin looks. The Skin Perfection Range is aimed at women in their twenties.

Seventeen Skin Wow Highlighter | £5.99

Again i first purchased this at the end of last summer and it has been hiding away in stash until now. I find it is a little too thick to be used as a general highlighter so i decided to try mixing it with my foundation and i have to say it works wonders. It gives my skin such a gorgeous glowy look with a dewy finish. Having oily skin means i dont usually like dewy skin but in the Spring my skin can deal with it.

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation | £29.00

I can see this being my go to foundation in the next few months especially in the summer when it becomes warmer. The coverage is light but in a weird way it gives a flawless finish. It is oil free which means it works well with oily skin types. As the coverage is light i will say this foundation doesn’t work if you have a breakout. Rimmel Colour Rush Lip Balm | £5.99

I love these lip crayons for s/s. They dont feel as thick/heavy as a lipstick but the colour comes out just as good. The lasting power is also impressive especially in the heat.

Blusher

As i mentioned in the intro pink blushers are my go to in Spring. I will admit my blusher collection is a little obsessive at owning 42 blushers and that doesn’t include any blusher palettes i have. Elf’s Blush Palette is amazing for only £7.95 it includes 4 blushers in a compact case with a huge mirror and the pigmentation is lovely. Topshop also have gorgeous blushers from powder or cream in some pretty shades. One of the newest blushers in my collection is KIKO’s Blush Compact which includes pink and coral shades perfect for this time of year.

Do you have any go to products for this time of year?
