The Blogger Made Me Buy It No.5 | EmmyWritesAbout

I love doing these types of posts and now this is my 5th The Blogger Made Me Buy It post. I did my first one back in 2015. Alot of products get hyped about in the blogging world and it isn’t often I will buy just for the hype. I think it is good to do posts like this and see if those hyped products are actually worth buying. If you want to see my other “The Blogger Made Me Buy It” posts I will link them at the end of this post for you.

Ofra Liquid Lipsticks | £11.00 | Link

Ashley got me two Ofra Lipsticks for Christmas from the Ofra website as they ship to the UK. Since then Beauty Bay now stock them! It was UmmBabyBeauty who always raved about these and told me how much I need them. She was right they are incredible! They feel slightly mousse like and apply like a dream. They dry matte but not the drying matte. They are extremely comfortable to wear. If you want to see arm and lip swatches of the shades I have check out my Full Review Ofra Liquid Lipsticks Post.

Worth The Hype: Hell Yes!

RCMA No Color Powder | $12.00 | Link

I had seen a few people rave about this powder and I finally got my hands on it. I can honestly say a powder has never impressed me so much. I have oily skin and find foundations will break up on the outer corners of my nose. Not anymore! This powder works MIRACLES! No joke, if I use this on my nose my foundation stays put and doesn’t separate at all. You can use it to bake under your eyes too. You get a whopping 3oz. In my tub I am down to the top part of the black label and I have been using it for 4 months!

You can buy this from the Beautylish website with shipping of $10.

Tarte Tape Shape Concealer | £19.00 ($24.00) | Link

Now this is one of the most raved about products ever! I ordered this on boxing day from the Tarte website as they had free international shipping and 25% off so I only paid £14 for the concealer so I didn’t get any customs as it was below £15. The concealer is alot bigger than your average concealer and the wand is huge. It is creamy and definitely full coverage. When it dries I find it can be a little drying so I do ensure to use an eye cream beforehand.

Worth The Hype: Yes but keep in mind it can be a bit drying.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick | £24.00 | Link

Before this I only owned one Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick which I had won in a giveaway. I saw everyone raving about this lipstick and the shade looked gorgeous so I ordered it. I will admit £24.00 on a lipstick is expensive. Don’t get me wrong the shade is a pretty mauve shade but the lasting power isn’t the best. I much prefer the Urban Decay Comfort Matte range as they are only £15.50 and the staying power is insane!!

Worth The Hype: No

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer | $14.99 | Link

I picked this up whilst in NYC in November after hearing so many people talk about it. I will go as far as saying this is my favourite bronzer! It smells like coconut and chocolate and the colour is perfect for my pale skin. They do a light shade which is great for paler skin tones and they also do a medium-dark version. I picked up two so I would have a backup, I am still on my first one and I use it so much!

Worth The Hype: Oh yes!

Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Kit | £6.99 | Link

I don’t tend to buy drugstore contour kits as they shades are awful for pale skin and the bronzer shades are usually orange. This kit is the total opposite, the highlight shade is actually pretty good and can be built up, the bronzer/contour shade is neither warm or cool but somewhere in between and the blush is gorgeous. They have two colours I have 02 Coral Glow which is the lighter of the two.
