Glasgow Haul including Try On's | EmmyWritesAbout

A few weeks ago we went to Glasgow for a break away. I had been around four years ago and enjoyed it. We had booked to go early March then all that snow came and the trains got cancelled. Luckily we got the train money back and the hotel let us re arrange the date so we didn’t loose any money. We just went for shopping and food. I picked up some new clothes and of course a couple of makeup bits and skincare.

Everyone and there dog raves about the L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper and I had never tried it but when browsing in Boots I thought I would give it a try. I am hoping I like it as I have been needing a new brow gel for a while.

I also decided to pick up my all time favourite drugstore full coverage foundation the Maybelline Superstay 24 Hour Foundation. This gives stunning coverage and they have pale enough shades for me! I also got a backup of the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer as again they have released a paler shade 05 which is perfect for me.

I had looked on Boots for some new skincare and this Nivea range popped up. When browsing in store I went with the 1 Minute Urban Detox Purify Mask. It says it can be applied and massaged in then left or used a exfoliator. I really enjoy using this, my skin feels instantly cleaner and healthier straight after using it. They also have one aimed at pores and one for hydration. I am definitely going to pick both of those up too.

Lastly I got the L’Oreal X Fiber Xtreme Resist Waterproof Mascara. I recently tried the Baby Roll one and hated it! I have never used a double ended mascara before but this one has really impressed me so far

I saw KIKO’s Gold Waves Collection on Instagram and oh my how pretty is it! The packaging is luxury, it comes in a gold box then it has a cover inside over the packaging then the actual packaging is gold. I picked up the Gold Waves Bronzer in the shade 01 Celebration Honey which is a glowly bronzer. It looks gorgeous on the skin! This shade is perfect for my pale skin. They also have a darker shade and a matte version. Then I got the Gold Waves Golden Vibes Highlighter, ooo I fell in love in store. It swatches gorgeous. They also had a rose gold version.

Now onto the clothes…

How cute are these slogan tees?! They are both from Primark and were £6-£8. I had been hunting the red Fabulous t shirt down for so long. I had tried my local Primark, Blackpool, Liverpool and Manchester and it wasn’t in any! It is so cute tucked into jeans or a denim skirt. The grey one is just adorable.

This Ribbed Tie Front Top I got from New Look, I also picked it up in a nude colour. It is lightweight and has a ribbed effect. It is slightly longer in the back and ties at the front (I tucked it into these trousers to make it look more cropped). I love them and they are a bargain at £12.99! It comes in mustard, nude and black.

Now I am such a lover of leopard print! I can’t help myself. This Leopard Print Tie Front Top was too cute to leave behind. It is very thin so perfect for Summer. It is lower cut and ties at the front. I love how it can be dressed up or down. Again it was New Look.

Lastly I got this white scarf print shirt, I am a lover of oversized shirts but New Look went to the extreme with this. I am usually a size 14-16 but like things oversized. I tried a 14 and 16 and oh my they were beyond huge! I ended up buying a size 12 which I don’t do as I never fit in them but this is still loose on me and fits well everywhere.
