How To Fix Dry Damaged Bleached Hair | EmmyWritesAbout

If you saw my “Black Hair To Ombre At Home” Post last week then you know I was going to share products I used to fix the damaged bleach parts of my hair. I went through my step by step process which you can read and see before and after pictures here. As I bleached my hair twice the ends were damaged which I knew would happen. I have four products which fixed my damaged hair and made it go back to normal within two weeks!

Aphogee Keratin 2 Minute Reconstructor | £9 approx | Amazon

If you have bleached hair this is the main product I would recommend! You wash your hair as normal and instead of using conditioner you use this. The first time I used this I towel dried my hair gently then covered my hair in this and left for five minutes. Each time after that I have left it on for two minutes. The ends of my hair were very dry and damaged but after using this once I was amazed at how much it had actually repaired my hair. After two uses my hair was feeling super soft and the ends no longer looked split.

L’Oreal Elvive Full Restore 5 Mask | £4.99 | Link

I have tried many hair masks but nothing compares to this one. It is called the 5 Mask as it claims to improve Strength, Density, Vitality, Shine and Silkiness. It says to shampoo and leave in for 2-5 minutes. I do that but then also once a week for the past 4 weeks I have been lathering my hair (dry hair) in this and leaving on for a good 4-5 hours and then washing off. Doing this has made my hair silky soft and helps keep my hair healthy.

I did also use this mask in between bleaching as I bleached my hair twice.

Neal & Wolf Velvet Nourishing Hair Oil | £14.95 | Link

I have been using this hair oil since last year. I am now onto my third bottle! I have tried many hair oils even argon oil but find it doesn’t do much to my hair. This is the only oil that actually makes a difference. After I have towel dried my hair I apply this oil from the mid-ends of my hair before I blow dry it. Doing this makes my hands look healthy and keeps them soft.

TRESemmé Get Sleek Protect and Polish Spray | £6.00 | Link

Hair protection sprays are definitely something you need for damaged hair. I spritz this over my hair before I apply the Neal and Wolf Oil. I let it soak in for a few minutes before drying my hair.

These four products have helped restore my hair back to full health in less than a month. I couldn’t recommend them for more bleached or damaged hair.
