A Payday Haul | EmmyWritesAbout

Payday finally arrived! Most of you will know for the past 3 years I was housebound due to an accident and surgeries but I have now gone back into full time employment. So of course when my first payday arrived I wanted to treat myself. The big splurge was my Canon 1300D Camera, I said once I was working I would get a new camera. Then I went shopping to the Trafford Center and thought I would share what I picked up.

Rimmel Blush Palette | £6.99 | Link

I didn’t even know Rimmel had this product out! I noticed it when I was walking past the stand and it stood out to me. The shades are must have Autumn shades and they all look stunning on the skin. I’m not usually a fan of shimmery blushers but these are gorgeous. The top and bottom ones only have a slight sheen to them then the middle one has a shimmer. The middle one is my favourite, it is a pink shimmer but then has gold reflects in it.

Soph X Eyeshadow Palette | £10.00 | Link

I only started watching Soph’s YouTube this year and I’m not one to buy Youtuber collaborations. When in Superdrug I did swatch the highlighter palette she has released but I wasn’t impressed. They felt dry and weren’t as intense when I swatched them but I have seen Annie from Musings of a Makeup Junkie swatch the palette in her review and they look stunning! The shades are all so wearable and they are very pigmented. You can create so many looks with this palette.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Pressed Powder | £5.99 | Link

I have been on the hunt for these powders after hearing such good things. I decided to pick up the Translucent shade and also Ivory. I have heard they leave such a flawless finish. I can’t wait to try them.

Topshop Highlighter “Afterglow” | £12.00 | Link

I had heard good things but when I was in Topshop I swatched it and oh my goodness my heart skipped a beat. It gives the most intense glow. I decided to pick up Afterglow which is a more gold tone. If you love a good intense highlighter you need to try these! I got mine in the limited edition rose gold packaging.

Too Faced Born This Way Powder | £20.00 | Link

Too Faced is definitely one of my favourite brands. I love the Born This Way Foundation and Concealer so I needed to try out the powder. It is so finely milled and looks flawless. It doesn’t look cakey or powdery. I am really impressed.

New Look Lace Trim Mini Skirt | £19.99

As soon as I saw this skirt I fell in love. It fits perfectly, it is slightly fitted on your bum then goes looser on the legs. I love pairing it with tights and chunky boots. I am obsessed with the checked/houndstooth print at the moment.

KIKO

Duo Bronzer “Bright Life” | £15.00 | Link

Id seen this online and knew I wanted it. I do love KIKO Bronzer’s, they are so buttery and blend like a dream. I was a little surprised it was £15 considering it isn’t bigger than a normal size bronzer. The shade is gorgeous though.

Gossamer Emotion Creamy Lipstick | £6.90 | Link

How stunning is this lipstick?! The packaging is so unique, you have to press a button on the top and the lipstick pops out of the tube. I picked up this stunning pink shade. I don’t tend to go for pink shades but thought I would try something different.

Candy Split Eye Pencil “Rosy Marshmallow” | £5.90 | Link

I didn’t see these until I was paying and the woman serving me had this on her inner corner with a black smokey eye. The shade looked incredible! Of course I then had to buy it… oops.

Topshop Star Hoop Earrings | £7.50 | Link

I wanted some simple hoop earrings and loved these with the little stars on. I really want to make more of an effort to wear earrings. I always forget to put some in.

Disney Marie Mug | £9.99 | Link

I saw this mug on Dollies_Adventures Instagram (she is a total beaut who you should be following). I love Disney and I love Marie. I found the mug in the Disney Store! I was so excited, look how cute it is!!

Lastly I took my first trip to Homesense! I didn’t realise I had one close to me so of course I had to go check it out. I got a few blog props but then also this candle. It was only £7.99 and it is huge! It smells gorgeous. I can’t believe how many candles they have.

Have you splurged this payday?
