Monthly Favourites February | EmmyWritesAbout

How quick did this month go! It was quite a busy month for me too and I have fallen in love with some beauty, fashion and food items which I have to share with you. I don’t want to keep my favourite posts just about beauty I want to share anything that has been a favourite during each month. You know you love something when you gave gone and purchased a backup already! Keep reading to find out what it was. Although February was a good month not only did I meet TheDenaEdit again, I went to a concert and girl dates and more which you can read all about next week.

Jelly Belly Peach Lip Balm | £1.50 | Link

My cousin actually got me this one and a cola one for Christmas. I have been using this nearly two months now and oh my it is the best lip balm I have ever tried! I have tried carmex, Burt’s Bees and more but this works the best. It feels extremely moisturising and it smells incredible. You can actually buy these in Primark or you can buy sets from the Jelly Belly website.

Tarte Clay Foundation Stick | £35.00 | Link

I bought this when they had 25% off and free international shipping. I had never tried a foundation stick until I tried this one and nearly two months later I am beyond obsessed. The formula is insane and the coverage is really good. I have a full review here which includes swatches and goes into depth as to what skin types this will suit.

Skinny Dip Sloth Phone Case | £12.00 | Link

How cute is this! I don’t tend to spend more then a couple of pound on a phone case and tend to get them from Ebay but as soon as I saw this sloth case I had to have it! They are pink and glittery and just cute! It comes in different phone sizes too.

The Ordinary High Adherence Silicone Primer | £3.90 | Link

I used to always buy mattifying primers but now my skin is combination I always apply a mattifying primer to my nose and chin then a normal primer all over. I love how this isn’t sticky or greasy and feels like a thick moisturiser. It has a cooling effect which is perfect for making me feel more awake. It blurs my skin, works perfect on any dry areas and makes my foundation look flawless.

Nature Valley Popcorn Bars | £2.89 for a pack of 5 | Link

No this is not sponsored or anything. My mum actually bought me these as I wanted some new breakfast type bars for at work. I buy a box a week of these and have done for the past 5 weeks! They are popcorn, salted caramel, almond and pretzel! They are extremely yummy and a new firm favourite.

Jouer Citrine Highlighter | £19.00 | Link

Ashley got me this for my birthday early in January, these highlighters had been on my wishlist for a while. I was so happy when he got me this shade as it is unlike any of the highlighters I already own. It has a peachy rose goldness to it which looks stunning. In some lights it reflects gold and then more peachy in others. I have fair skin and it works well for me. It can be built up to be really intense too.

These boots I have worn at least 4 days a week every week! I got them mid January and instantly fell in love. They are so comfy and go with so many outfits. The work with leggings, tights or jeans and the little heel and detail makes them look so good. I have just bought a second pair! I wear them that much I wanted a backup pair as New Look now don’t have them online but they are in stores. I have just purchased a second pair as a backup!

Prada Candy Perfume | £42.00 | Link

I have had this perfume a little while now but I have been using it non stop over the past month. As you can see it is nearly empty. If you love a subtle sweet scent you need to try this perfume. It is very girly without being overwhelming.

The Body Shop Matte Liquid Lipstick | £6.00 | Link

I had seen these around a while ago but thought they would be too matte. Dena got me this for my birthday as she already owned it and loved it. I am so glad she got me it as I have been wearing it daily. The formula has a mousse feel that does dry down but it doesn’t feel drying or fully matte. I find 90% of liquid lipsticks drying so this was a pleasant surprise. Plus the shade is a stunning warm toned nude!

Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer | £4.00 | Link

As soon as these were released I ordered a couple of shades. They are full coverage and have a ton of shades to suit all skin tones. I used to own the Tarte Tape Shape Concealer but definitely prefer the Makeup Revolution one. I did a full review here explaining why and also swatching a couple of the shades.

Too Faced Peaches and Cream Sweetie Pie Bronzer | £25.00 | Link

When this bronzer was released I wasn’t bothered as it looked quite shimmery but after watching some reviews it seemed the gold shimmer disappeared after the first two uses. I am so happy I got this! It is the perfect coloured bronzer for my skin tone and the shimmer does disappear but it gives a natural glow to your skin. I love how healthy this makes my skin look. It is definitely suited to pale, fair or light skin tones.
