Beauty,Fashion and Homeware I Loved Last Month | EmmyWritesAbout

August felt like a really hectic month and it honestly went so quick. The beginning of the month my sister and nephew came to visit and we went to Blackpool and went for lunch. It was good to have fun and enjoy myself. I have also been eating so much healthier this month and trying hard, I have now lost a stone. I feel so much better for it and I am actually enjoying eating better. Last month I fell in love with so many new things from beauty, fashion and homeware and of course I have to share them with you!

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Perfume | £38.95 100ml | Link

My mum got me this perfume and I didn’t know what to expect as it is a brand I have never tried but of my it smells gorgeous. I ended up using the last of it last month. I am definitely going to be ordering another when I get paid. The bottle is super pretty and comes with gold detailing with a bright pink bow. It is described as:

“wild berries and mandarins, honeysuckle, gardenia, and jasmine. To round it out, amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood, and praline add just the right touch of sweetness.”

I honestly adore the sweet scent, it isn’t sickly sweet and it lasts all day.

Rimmel Stay Satin Lipsticks | £5.99 | Link

Rimmel released these new satin lipsticks in August, I was luckily sent some shades but then I also went and purchased another shade. I can’t wear matte lips as I suffer with dry lips now and then but these satin ones are incredible. The shade range is perfect too! I have swatched and reviewed some of the shades here.

Bare Minerals Gen Nude Patent Lip Colour “Yaaas” | £17.00 | Link

I saw this when I was watching Amy Maceado YouTube, if you haven’t watched her channel you really should. She does some gorgeous daytime makeup looks. She loves her nudes and when she applied this gloss I literally paused the video to go and buy it. It is the most stunning neutral nude. I love wearing it on it’s own or on top of lipstick.

L’Oreal Tinted Lip Oil | £8.99 | Link

I saw this in Superdrug and was intrigued. I hadn’t seen them before but I have been on the hunt for a tinted lip oil. I am sure they have four shades and I really want to get the peachy one next. I picked this shade Sugar Plum, it gives a pretty pink tint with a hint of plum. Once the oil dries/sinks in it leaves a subtle tint on your lips. The tint lasts so long on your lips, you can drink and eat and it stays put.

How cute is this tee shirt! I saw it in Primark and couldn’t resist. It is slightly cropped and ties at the front. I love the loose fit and it looks so good with jeans. They have also just released one in yellow which I now need in my life! I think it was £8.

MaxFactor Radiant Lift Foundation | £14.99 | Link

I have to admit MaxFactor products have bored me for quite some time, I don’t think they come out with anything new and the packaging looks dull and dated. I do love their FaceFinity Foundation so when I saw they released this Radiant Lift Foundation I was intrigued, the foundation junkie in me was excited. This foundation is stunning, it gives medium coverage with a lovely dewy finish. Even when I apply my matte powder it still gives a natural glow. If I use a good mattifying primer on my nose this lasts so well on my combination skin.

Hello! How cute is this?! I was walking through Primark and spotted little Flounder across the room, I literally did a little squeal and ran to grab him! The Little Mermaid film is my favourite Disney Film and I couldn’t resist him. Not that I needed another mug but yes I needed him. He is just adorable! I think he was £6-£8.

Vichy Dermablend Covermatte Powder | £20.00 | Link

I originally got sent this a while ago and finally rediscovered it. Oh my I have fallen in love, I have now used this one up and purchased another one which I keep in my handbag. I have started applying powder with a flat top kabuki brush and pressing it into my skin as I find it makes it look flawless! This powder gives such a flawless airbrushed finish. I especially love it on top of the Maxfactor Foudnation.

The Kabuki Brush I am obsessed with is the Blank Canvas F20 Flat Top Buffer Brush (black and gold version link). Blank Canvas Brushes are such good quality. They also stock them on Beauty Bay.

False eyelashes are a everyday must have for me. I have non existant lashes, they are straight and even if I curl them you can still barley see them. I recently came across these stunning ones in Primark! They are the new mermaid lashes, they look gorgeous on. Easy to apply and only £3! I have stocked up.

Single eyeshadows are something I have started to use more, I am using my custom z palette alot lately. I love mixing up my shades and these three have become my go to shades.

Makeup Geek Desert Sands – £4.95 – This is a deep matte mustard shade.

Makeup Geek Jester – £7.95 – Foiled green, I love how this makes my blue eyes pop. The Makeup Geek foiled shades are incredible.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Party Dress – £12.00 – This has to be one of my all time favourite shadows ever, in a single or a palette! It is a gorgeous neutral tan colour with specks of gold, I get so many compliments when I wear this shade. No picture can do this justice. I have nearly ran out of this shade since taking this picture that’s how much I have used it and I have already re purchased it.

Morphe Continuous Setting Mist | £15.00 | Link

When this got released I wasn’t excited or tempted but after hearing KasieBeauty rave about it, I finally ordered it and I am so glad I did. This is the most lightweight mist I have tried, you barely feel it spray and it settles onto your skin effortlessly. It makes your makeup look flawless and gets rid of any powdery/cakey areas. I can’t wait to buy another as a backup.

These Grape-Nuts have been my go to this month. I have been eating alot healthier and these are perfect. I either sprinkle some over the top of my porridge or I put some in a bowl with some yogurt and fruit. They are yummy!

What have been your favourites recently?
