Who doesn’t love a shopping trip?! Plus it’s even better when it’s with another blogger! You don’t get moaned at for taking pictures of everything! Not only did I meet one blogger I met two! I met up with Dena from TheDenaEdit again, we last met up last year but we also met up with Zoe from Mammafulzo for a drink. It was such a fun day and I picked up some goodies!
We all met up in Manchester and we met Zoe in Costa, we literally sat in there for a good few hours chatting about everything and anything! It was so lovely to finally meet her, she is hilarious! She has helped me alot with my health issues and always been there to listen to me. She is such a good friend. Dena as I said we have met up before, we have been chatting for two years now. After we left Costa me and Dena went off shopping and both picked up some fab goodies!
We first hit Primark of course. I love the Manchester Primark, it is so big compared to my local one. I didn’t actually notice this makeup bag until we were on our way to the checkout but as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it! It is the cutest! It is the perfect size for putting in all my makeup brushes.
I was really excited for the Nudes collection in Primark but to be honest I was quite disappointed. Any of the contour products looked extremely orange! The best things were the lipsticks. I picked up the lightest shade which is a very pale nude but since our trip I have also picked up another shade called Birthday Suit which is slightly darker but still a light nude. They dry matte but really look good with a gloss applied on top. They are extremely pigmented too.
How cute are these tweezers and eyelash curlers?! I loved the nude colour but I was in desperate nude of some new ones. You get two tweezers in a pack and each are different. Perfect for your brows and the curlers are really good. I also picked up more of the Maybelline Sensational Lipsticks in the shades Honey Beige and Tantalizing Taupe. I have used up the Honey Beige one recently, I have never finished a lipstick before so of course I had to re purchase it!
Lastly I picked up this super pretty palette from their chocolate range, again the range wasn’t great but I instantly loved the look of this palette. I also was on the hunt for a lip liner and Dena said how good the Primark ones are so I picked one up and it has really surprised me. It is creamy and pigmented.
We had a little time to spare towards the end of the trip and nipped into Selfridges to have a wonder. I needed to re purchase my all time favourite MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. I have been using this product for nearly 10 years now! It makes your skin look flawless and airbrushed, I have tried many powders but nothing compares. I also finally picked up the Peachstock lipstick, I have seen so many people raving about it. I have been loving applying MAC Honeylove which is a matte lipstick then Peachstock on top as it is a satin finish.
I also stocked up on this Jelly Belly Peach Lip Balm. My cousin got me one for Christmas and oh my it is by far the best lip balm I have ever tried! It feels amazing and smells good too. I haven’t seen anywhere else sell it so I picked up a few as backups. It is only £1! I re purchased another product, the Rimmel Insta Fix & Go Setting Spray, it is one of the only setting sprays I actually finds makes a difference and keeps me less oily than usual.
We nipped into Lush where I got a bath bomb and also the Cupcake Fresh Face Mask. Me and my mum used to use this mask religiously a few years ago. It smells like chocolate and works wonders. You keep it in the fridge.
As soon as I walked into New Look I spotted this shirt. I don’t usually wear yellow, I don’t think I owned anything yellow until this shirt. I just thought it would be perfect for spring with some blue jeans. I liked the pop of yellow then the detail on the arm with the small split and bow tied.
