Here we are with the first favourites of the year! Christmas feel like it was months ago! This week is becoming my first good week for a while, i finally have a date for my second knee operation which is 5 weeks today…wooooo! It’s been a long battle to make the story short i was actually hit by a car 10 years ago when i was 13 but the nhs wouldnt operate so i had to fight and finally got my first knee operation when i was 17 but since then i have been going back to the hospital as my knee has never been right and is gradually getting worse. Now they have finally agreed to operate and i have now found out what they told me it was all this time it actually isnt that. It has been a struggle as iv not been able to learn to drive due to this and i have had to sacrafice alot. It will be nice to get the operation done and finally get back to work after being off since June! Sorry for the little rant but im just so happy im finally getting somewhere.
Moving on its that time of the month again to show my favourite products. I have chosen 5 products which i have fallen in love with and i will tell you why so stay tuned!
Maybelline Lipgloss | Topshop Blush
Maybelline Color Show Elixir Lipgloss in “Essence” | £6.99
I have had this lipgloss a few months but only recently started using it. Its got to be one of the best lipgloss’ iv ever tried. The colour is amazing and it feels lovely on. I do like my pinky shades and this is perfect as you can see from the swatch above.
Benefit Porefessional Pro Balm | £24.50
I got a sample size of this for Christmas and recently bought the full size product. Its a lovely silicone based primer which evens out your skin tone and leaves skin feeling silky smooth ready for foundation. I love how this feels on my skin and my foundation does look better using this. Im not sure if its helped my oily skin more than other primers have but i dont mind touching up with powder.
Maxfactor Face Finity Foundation in “Beige” | £11.99
I have previously used the Maxfactor Face Finity Primer so i decided to try the foundation. The foundation states its a primer, concealer and foundation all in one. I dont find that’s the case as i do still use primer and concealer but the foundation itself is lovely. Its medium-full coverage but feels very lightweight on the skin. The shade is perfect for me and the lasting power is pretty good. I find maxfactor foundations to be quite thick and always used them for nights out but this one is very different and great for daytime wear.
Topshop Blush in “Good Girl”
This is an old favourite i found in my draw and forgot i had. It is such a gorgeous shade but im so upset Topshop have stopped it *cries* but there is a DUPE! Natural Collection Blush in “Pink Cloud” If you google a swatch it is pretty much identical.
Eylure Brow Trio Kit | £9.95
I love this kit! You get a brow wax, powder and highlighter. The highlighter isnt that great but i will still buy this for the powder and wax. The shades are perfect and i just love it. The wax isnt thick which helps give you the choice to either go for a natural brow or a bit more. It is very similar to the Elf Brow Kit which doesn’t include a highlighter but it is only £3.95.
