I have decided to start doing monthly favourites posts on my blog again. I ran a poll on Twitter and over 80% came back that you enjoyed reading them. I love reading these kinds of posts and see what products people are becoming obsessed with. I will be including anything from beauty, lifestyle, fashion or food in my monthly favourites but for this month it is just beauty. I do have some fashion pieces but I have only had them a couple of weeks and even though I love them I wanted to wear them more and then include them in next months favourites.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Blush Trio | £30.00 | Link
I was lucky and got this for just £15 in the black Friday sale on the UK ABH Website. I had wanted one for ages but wasn’t sure if they were worth the £30 price tag. I have been using this for around a month now and love each shade, I picked the shade Peachy Love. It comes with a shimmer, matte and satin finish blush. The pan sizes are good and the packaging is gorgeous. I would definitely recommend them and say £30 is a good price as that is only £10 a blush. Swatches will be at the end of this post.
Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Foundation | £35.00 | Link
I finally got my hands on this the day after boxing day and have been using it so much since. It is a fuller coverage foundation that leaves your skin looking flawless. I love Laura Mercier base products and this one did not disappoint. It lasts all day on my oily areas and also works well on any dry patches that I have.
Essence I Love Colour Intensifying Eyeshadow Base | £2.50 | Link
I don’t know how I haven’t featured this on my blog before as I am now on my third tube! I have been using this product since last year and use it all the time and thought I would share it in this post. I have tried many eyeshadow primers and not noticed a difference but this one is incredible. It adds covers and creates a perfect base. I notice my shadows stay put all day long and stay pigmented all day.
Benefit Hoola Quickie Contour Stick | £23.50 | Link
I have become obsessed with cream contouring but alot of products have disappointed me until now. I actually picked this up back in September when I had a bloggers day out with TheDenaEdit. I have found myself using it non stop this month. It is the creamiest contour product EVER. It literally melts into your skin effortlessly. When you swatch this it does come up darker in the swatch but when you start blending it in, it becomes lighter. You can build it up to be a more intense contour. For my everyday makeup I use this and then a powder bronzer but if I want a more intense look I will use this then a powder contour to intensify it more.
The Ordinary High Adherence Silicone Primer | £3.90 | Link
Another product I have had in my collection for quite a while but I didn’t start using it until the end of December. It is now empty! It isn’t like most silicone primers I have tried, it has a more thick moisturiser feels to it and also a cooling feeling when applied. I love how this makes my skin feel. It does leave a slightly tacky base and makes my foundation look amazing.
NARS Velvet Lip Glide | £23.00 | Link
I picked this up whilst in London in December, see my London Haul here. This is a product I have wanted for so long but it was always sold out online. I have the shade Stripped which is the perfect nude. The formula is unreal, it feels so smooth and comfortable to wear.
Too Faced Primed and Peachy Cooling Matte Primer | £27.00 | Link
I picked this up when I went to London as they now have a Too Faced store! You still can’t buy this primer online in the UK. I heard many mixed reviews on this range but this primer has become my new go to. I love using this on my nose and chin where I am the most oily. It keeps me matte all day and blurs pores really well. I love it that much I have purchased another in my latest Sephora order!
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream | £12.99 | Link
I have become obsessed with this range. I did also review the Neutrogena Cleansing Milk Here a few weeks ago. My skin has become oily/combination. It lacks hydration and this gel cream helps bring it back to life. I find it very hydrating and soothing on my skin. It hydrates well but then sinks into your skin and dries down fully. I love applying this before my makeup.
Tarte Highlighter Duo Exposed | Link
I got this duo quite a while ago but have been using it alot this month. It came with a powder highlight and a liquid highlight but both the same shade. When you pair these too together it creates perfection. The liquid highlighter is stunning but when you apply the powder one on top you get such an intense glow. You can’t buy them as a set anymore as these were smaller sizes in a set but you can buy the powder exposed highlighter and the liquid exposed highlighter separately.
I did have quite a few beauty favourites this month but I can’t wait to share some beauty, fashion and lifestyle favourites next month!
