That’s right, I finally did it! I finally placed my first ColourPop order. After seeing so many posts from other bloggers I was desperate to get my hands on some of the products. I will be doing a seperate post next Wednesday how of I shipped it to the UK, What company I used, Costs etc… ColourPop is a hyped about brand that everyone wants to try. I decided to get a few of each product and see what I thought before I order again.
ColourPop Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick “Marshmallow” | $6 approximately £4.20
I have only seen bloggers rave about the ColourPop Matte Liquid Lipsticks but I fell in love with the colour of this Satin Liquid Lipstick in Marshmallow. It is a very unusual shade as it is a grey toned purple. I am loving grey tones lately, it has become my favourite lip shade. The Ultra Satin finish is gorgeous! It feels so comfortable on the lips.
ColourPop Matte Liquid Lipstick “Solow” | $6 approximately £4.20
This is a shade I new I wanted straight away. I had googled many swatches to make sure I would like it. When I first applied it I noticed it is darker than many of the swatches online but on the lips it looks lovely. It dries matte, very matte but still feels comfortable. I found the NYX Lingerie ones dried far too matte and didn’t feel comfortable to wear whereas these dry nicely. I did find they do sink into creases a little but it doesn’t look bad.
ColourPop Lippie Stix | $5 approximately £3.50
Lumiere is one of the most raved about shades EVER! It is said to be a dupe for the Nars Anna Lipstick. This shade is absolutely stunning, the finish is matte and it is described as a dusty mauve pink which suits every skin tone and it does just that. Im very pale and it looks stunning and I have seen people with darker skin tones say it suits them too. I also ordered Cookie which has become my most worn lip colour for the last few weeks. It is a nude beige with a matte finish. It is a lighter nude which I love!
ColourPop Blush “Birthday Suit” | $8 approximately £5.60
Ah want a stunning and unusual blush. When I say unusual I mean the texture. It has a very creamy texture even though it is described as a powder. It has a satin finish and looks perfect for Summer.
My Oh My…
I ordered four ColourPop eyeshadows and I can’t wait to order more. They are honestly the most gorgeous things I have ever swatched. They are just as pigmented on the lids as they are on swatches!
Sequin – A copper penny like shade.
Get Lucky – An intense ultra metallic gold.
Weenie – A pinky rose gold in a pearlized finish.
Hanky Panky – Soft cool toned taupe with a matte finish.
$5 each approximately £3.50.
Look at those swatches! Im in swatch heaven right now! I think if I had to pick favourites it would be the Lippie Stix and Eye Shadows. I will definitely be placing a second order. Keep your eyes peeled next Wednesday at 2pm for a full step by step guide on how to order ColourPop to the UK.
