Vichy Pore Purifying Clay Mask Review* | EmmyWritesAbout

Oh I do love a good pamper evening and nothing beats a face mask and a bath. Vichy have released three new face masks for different skin types. I have been obsessed with Vichy Skin Care and Makeup for the past year and I am so excited they have finally released face masks. I chose the Vichy Pore Purifying Clay Mask as I have oily skin and large pores around my nose and some on my chin.

The three masks released include:

Pore Purifying Clay Mask | Suitable for Oily Skin

Double Glow Peel Mask | Dull looking Skin

Quenching Mineral Mask | Suitable for Dry Skin

Vichy packaging is always perfect and it is the same with these masks. They come in a frosted glass packaging with a silver lid which twists off. The Pore Purifying Mask is aimed at us oily skin girls with large pores. It is designed to help regulate excess sebum, hydrates your skin and gives it a deep cleanse.

The mask is a pale grey colour and has such a smooth silky consistency. I personally prefer to apply face masks using a flat foundation brush as I have false nails and it can end up quite messy. I also find using this type of brush you can be more precise and get into those area’s that need more care. When I first applied this I was really impressed at how lightweight it felt as most clay masks tend to feel heavy on the skin. It states to leave the mask on for 3-5 minutes.

I mainly use face masks whilst I am in the bath as I find the heat really helps them do what they are supposed to. I probably ended up leaving it on a little longer than 5 minutes as I didn’t time it. I noticed it did dry down but not like other clay masks I have used. It didn’t feel extra tight, it felt very comfortable even after 5-10 minutes. I washed it off using a cloth and it came off very easily, no mess at all. My skin felt smooth and I mean baby smooth, dolphin smooth, any kind of smooth you can think of! I was amazed as other clay masks have left my skin a little dry even though I have oily skin.

My skin instantly looked healthier and it really impressed me. Vichy advise to use this mask 1-2 times a week and that is what I have been doing for around 3 weeks now. I have extremely oily skin that can often get small dry patches on my cheeks and my skin is quite sensitive. This mask hasn’t irritated my skin at all. I can honestly say this is the best mask I have ever used! For me I haven’t tried a Vichy product I don’t like. This post is not sponsored in any way, I just honestly love Vichy! I think Vichy would definitely have to be my skincare brand of 2016.

My two other favourite Vichy products have to be the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum and Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation. You can buy the Vichy Pore Purifying Clay Mask from Escentual and Feel Unique.
